COMPASSIONATE Care: Cancer Transportation Pilot Program
The Métis Nation of Alberta (MNA) is pleased to launch the Compassionate Care: Cancer Transportation Pilot Program. This program will offer MNA citizens in Regions One, Five & Six financial reimbursement for transportation to and form their cancer-related appointments. Funding is limited, but this pilot will guide the future expansion of this service to other regions.
Must be a Métis citizen or in the process of getting citizenship;
Open to all ages. If under 18, rider must be accompanied by a guardian;
Must live in Region One, Five or Six. (Visit albertametis.com for a region map);
In need of transportation to and from cancer-related appointments;
Rider must have access to an operation vehicle;
Must have a driver, e.g. family or friends, to and from appointments;
